hello! i haven't updated this page in a while. i promise it wasn't because i have been doing nothing this whole time. i did SOME things. like repeating the same series of steps over and over expecting a different outcome. uninstalling things and reinstalling them and uninstalling them again. things will be different this time i SWEAR.
the framework i've been using for godot is called escoria, which according to google translate means "shit". which is true! i kept getting errors so in my opinion it is complete shit. most definitely not user error. not at all ;)
i jest, i actually really like how escoria is set up. saves me a ton of work and math i don't have the time or energy to write myself. it has shaders too but i could literally not care less about shaders i want a game that actually runs well on the average computer.
it was kinda annoying to learn the framework whilst i was constantly getting ESCresource errors because godot doesn't allow custom stuff yet, but nothing is perfect.
since i seem to be escorially challenged, i will instead use this page to document what the game i'm making will be about. the lore you could call it. or just like. the game premise. forewarning it's a homestuck fangame
in the simplest words, the goal of the game is to send your internet friend a package. cultural differences, shoplifting, and misuse of the postal system ensue.
you can read about the lore here. not yet though. go away

despite the date of writing this being the 4th of april, i've actually been messing around with godot on and off for about a month. after amounting to literally nothing in this time frame, i've decided to make it a public spectal so MAYBE i will actually begin to learn how any of this works. i will summarize the happenings so far:
- installed godot 3, followed a few tutorials, couldn't figure out how to translate any of this into what i needed
